octoScope® is the leader in accurate, repeatable and automated wireless personal testbeds. The event will be held in partnership with Bynet Electronics Testing Solutions, a provider of network testing solutions, cyber security and network performance monitoring for more than 25 years.
The seminar will be presented by octoScope’s CTO, Leigh Chinitz, Ph.D. Leigh has worked in the wireless and data communications field since 1993 with companies including Casa Systems, Cisco and Motorola. His background includes Wi-Fi, UMTS, CDMA, femtocell, small cells and regulatory work with the FCC. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and a contributor to the Wi-Fi Alliance, IEEE, TIA, and ITU standards development. Leigh has a BS in Physics from Yale, a Ph.D. and an MBA. He holds 20 US patents.
The “Standards Update and Test Methods for Wi-Fi 6” seminar will discuss how the success of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) products will depend on how well they perform and coexist in the presence of real-word challenges. New test methodologies are emerging from the industry standards organizations and laboratories, including the Wi-Fi Alliance, Broadband Forum, Cable Labs, SmallNetBuilder.com and others.
octoScope will provide an overview of the latest standards, technologies and test methods for Wi-Fi 6 as well as live demonstrations of these tests in the company’s octoBox testbed. Throughput vs. range, OFDMA, interference, mesh and roaming, and band steering will be highlighted while discussing Wi-Fi-6 and other wireless technologies, including:
The seminar will be held live on location in Israel. Those unable to attend in-person may register to join online here.

octoScope is the market leader in isolated, repeatable and automated wireless personal testbeds. Our patented technology redefines the accuracy, stability, economics and value of over-the-air wireless testing. The octoBox testbed is configurable for automated regression test sequences with a range of airlink conditions and interference scenarios. The octoBox testbeds are scalable to support a single DUT or multi-node mesh systems under test.
The testbeds feature powerful technologies to evaluate the behavior and performance of a broad range of wireless devices and systems. The tested capabilities include protocol monitoring, test traffic generation, motion and multipath emulation, interference generation and device emulation.
